8 Quick Apply Full-time 16 hours ago Full Job Description The Clinical Director shall be responsible, in conjunction with the Executive Director, for the quality and appropriateness of clinical services within all of the treatment programs belonging to Substance Abuse Council of Northwest Alabama, Inc.
Additional responsibilities of the Clinical Director shall include:
1.
Clinical supervision of all treatment-related employees.
2.
Recommendation, in collaboration with the Executive Director, of employment and termination of employees.
3.
Providing documentation in client records compliant with the policies and procedures of SACNA and DMH/SASD.
4.
Assisting the Executive Director and the Board of Directors by making recommendations regarding the needs of the program and personnel policies and procedures for the treatment programs.
5.
Billing DMH and other funding sources for services rendered.
6.
Training and presentations made to SACNA employees and other community entities regarding topics approved by DMH and SASD.
7.
Interaction with DMH regarding services provided.
8.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
REPORTING SUPERVISOR:

All Program Coordinators, Case Managers, and Other Support Staff MINIMUM
Qualifications:
1.
Master's degree in a mental health field and completion of a clinical practicum.
2.
Minimum three(3) years post-graduate experience working in a substance abuse treatment program.
3.
Certification as an Addictions Counselor or Licensed Professional Counselor.
4.
A working knowledge of the 12-step program of recovery, as well as evidence-based treatments of addiction and other mental illnesses.
5.
Maintain a thorough knowledge of all stages of addictive behavior, group dynamics, and the principles, practices, and concepts of the 12-step program of recovery.
